Great Photos! I remember your family, well, from your trip to Molson. I purchased Silsby Lake Lodge in Dec. of 2010. Silsby ranked #1 in 2011's Master Angler Record Book for number of trophy Northern Pike. Hope to see you and your family again at Silsby!

Cool rig! Couple questions before I start my own:

- any reason you made the slide so wide? Is there room to make it thinner for more portability?
- Do you fine tune the resistance on the slide by tightening the pipe clamps? Could it be adjusted or is it one "speed"? Did you grease or oil the PVC?
- Could you put a tripod mount on each end, too, for a little more flexability, or does the rig get to heavy and lopsided?
- How do you think it would hold up going vertical?

Thanks, man!

I think you lose too much of the detail on desk and backwall with the fisheye, although I like both.

Great, great shots...except that last one...not so flattering. Ha ha! I have the same shot as the 4th one, call it "Preachin' to the choir". Would love to see more. Thanks for posting.

thought about it, but i had two main issues / concerns. first, i worried they wouldn't be strong enough at the far ends of the slider - i know drawers get heavy, but they have a lot of leverage and additional support working in their favor rather than simply hanging out on a limb. my camera setup with lens ends up being 5+ lbs, so it's a tough call. second main issue was how to mount drawer rails to the actual tripod in the center, and still maintain the ability to slide equally on both sides of center to keep balance. probably could have figured something out, and still exploring.
