Lollapalooza announced the annual aftershows for this year’s festival – with shows starting on Thursday night and going through Sunday evening. This is by far my favorite weekend of the summer in Chicago, and I absolutely can’t wait. If you weren’t going to be tired after a day in Grant Park… you’ll be ready for bed after adding on any of these shows. Click here to see all the shows.
Here are a few pictures from some of the bands that will be playing, which I’ve enjoyed photographing before.
Cymbals Eat Guitars

Walkmen

Rogue Wave

The National

Blitzen Trapper

Before I went to bed last night, some thunderstorms rolled through Chicago. I’ve never photographed lightning before, but I tried to set my camera up in my room and see what I could get. Definitely need some practice, but I think I got some interesting shots for a last second attempt.

When you exit the elevator on each floor of the Dream Hotel in New York City, you’re struck by large murals that could be perceived as art. I can’t remember the floors for each of these shots, but I was so intrigued when I saw the giant nose on my floor that I made a point to stop on each of the 13 others. These were a few of my favorite murals. Art they may be; frightening they are.

I completely forgot to upload some of my photos from Final Four weekend in Indianapolis. I know I posted this video of the weekend, but I never put up the photos. The whole set is over on Flickr, and some of my favorites are below.
