Before we got strapped into the helicopter, I thought for sure I’d be scared of the whole “no door” thing. Once we got up in the air, it was truly amazing. Aside from the rain at the top of the canyon, we stayed dry and safe. It was truly an amazing experience, and thanks to the lack of doors, it made for some better photos.

Finally made it out to see a Portable Models’ show. I missed their last few due to travel, but got to the Elbo Room last night just in time. It was my first time shooting at this venue, and the lights are definitely a bit erratic – but all in all, the shots turned out fine. This was also the first concert where I got to use my new fisheye lens – definitely makes things more interesting.
